Mary Petrie is North Catholic Parishes’ Pastoral and Administrative Assistant. Mary provides assistance to the Parishes’ priests and parishioners.

Mary was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Menomonee Falls. For 25 years, Mary worked in customer service and finance in the banking industry. Her career took her on a journey through Menomonee Falls, Milwaukee, and Green Bay, as well as all the way to Colorado! She eventually settled in Sheboygan in 1997. After moving to Sheboygan, Mary and her husband were wed at Holy Name of Jesus. Not long after the couple’s wedding, Mary was offered a position at the church.

With a new marriage and a new job, Mary began her journey with North Catholic Parishes. “This was quite a change from my years in banking where I was very comfortable and knowledgeable. I would still be serving people, just in a different way. So, I answered the call, and could not be happier that I made the change to serve God's people in the City of Sheboygan!”

Mary is grateful for her role within the church because of the positive impact she has on the lives and spiritual journeys of its parishioners. “The best part of my work is serving God's people. I am a people person, so whatever it might be - guiding someone through the sacraments of marriage, baptism, the funeral process, working with and supporting a parish committee, welcoming new parishioners, or simply listening to someone's story - I am blessed, deeply gratified, and graced with each encounter and experience.”

Mary keeps active outside of the church by practicing yoga, bicycling, playing mini-golf, and listening to classic country music. Along with her husband, Mary also takes great joy in raising and nurturing their 13-year old grandson.

Mary also spreads God’s message through her personal involvement in the liturgy as a lector, extraordinary minister of communion, and sacristan. She also supports North Catholic Parishes’ Archdiocesan Seminary through the Annual Seminary Dinner, the Sheboygan Knights of Columbus, Catholic Education, and the Sheboygan Catholic Women's Charity Club. “I am passionate about my faith and living my faith.”

Mary invites parishioners to come experience the unique qualities of each of North Catholic Parishes’ churches and build upon their faith in God within their communities. “I believe all three of our churches have something unique to offer guests and parishioners. We are passionate in our faith and welcoming to our guests and faith community. We provide unique opportunities within each church and as a larger collective group to serve the needs of our local community and beyond.
